What is verified, and what is attested
Attested is not verified, and the club says which is which. Some parts of a Candidacy are checked by the server against the published rule. The rest rests on your word, the way a scorecard always has.
Checked by the server
- 01
The Rules paper
Twenty-five questions drawn from a bank of sixty, served without answers and marked on the server. Twenty correct is a pass. A retake opens 72 hours later; a third failed attempt defers the Candidacy.
- 02
Marker confirmation
Each qualifying round has its own single-use link that you hand to your marker. They confirm or decline on their own device. They see the date, course, holes and score, never your name or address.
- 03
Validity of every entry
A session, round or Baseline entry that breaks a published validity rule is refused when you log it, with the rule's sentence beside the field.
- 04
The Letter's shape
Three labelled sections, their word counts, no links, and not identical to another Letter in the intake. That is all that is checked.
On your honour
- 05
Practice
Sessions are logged on your word. They must be plausible under the validity rules; nobody watches you practise.
- 06
The Baseline Card
You score your own four drills, on Day 1 and again in week 4.
- 07
The Pledge
“I will log only what happened, as I would sign a scorecard.” You make it when you apply.
Elected by the card, with a person on request
Election is automatic. The server checks every requirement each time you log something, and the moment all of them are met inside your window you are elected by the card. Nobody reads your Letter to decide anything, and nobody grades your swing. If a candidacy ends without election, the outcome names the rule that produced it, and a person will look at any outcome you ask about.
Honour questions are settled by written rules, never by discretion:
H1. A marker declines to confirm a round. That round does not count. You may play another qualifying round inside the window.
H2. A second marker decline in one Candidacy. The Candidacy ends as not elected, rule H2. The record is kept, and you may apply to a later intake.
H3. A marker link is unanswered after 14 days, or when the window ends. That round does not count. This is not a breach.
H4. The marker page finds your own Candidacy key on the device. The page refuses: a round is confirmed by your marker, on their own device. Nothing is recorded.
H5. The same Letter text is already in the intake. The Letter is refused when you submit it. This is not a breach; write your own.
If you think an outcome is wrong, write to support@electedgolf.com and say what happened. A person looks at the outcome, the records behind it and your own account, and can correct it. Every correction is recorded. Your right to a human review.
How the seat cap works
Each intake has a fixed number of seats, shown live on the front page and the Ledger. Submitting an application does not take a seat. A seat is taken when you confirm your address, and seats are numbered in the true order of confirmation. If the last seat is taken before you confirm, you are offered a place on the list for the next intake instead. A seat, once taken, is not reissued in that intake, even if its candidate withdraws.
What the club cannot do
- We issue no handicap. Your numbers here are an unofficial Playing Record.
- We are not affiliated with any club and cannot secure admission.
- It cannot confirm that a logged practice session happened; it can only refuse one that breaks a stated rule.
Where the rule lives
The complete rule, with every requirement, validity rule and honour rule, is published on the practice plan page. The page and the server read the same rule.
